Description: This is a picture of a large cage and a small cage and two boxes all connected to each other with PVC piping. The large red cage is blocked off from the "boxes and white cage" as I had to split the group of 4 pigs into 2 pairs because of dominance issues. One pair has the red cage. The other pair has the white cage that is joined to the two boxes. The red cage has the exact same length as the boxes joined to the white cage.

2 males staring eachother down

Description: I have 4 males. Unfortunately the two older guys had a dominance dispute and so they had to be split up (I had no idea guinea pigs could be so aggressive).There are now a pair in each cage. They often stare at each other through the cage, as shown above. It is sad as I had hoped all four of them would co-exist in one large cage instead of two smaller ones. I will try and re-introduce them to each other after a couple of months.

Description: I clip veggie strips in binder clips on a string and stretch it across the cage or string them on the bell/chain toy that came with wood chews. The girls love to play with thier veggies this way and it is something interesting an new.

Description: Finally made the girls cage bigger! It took forever and was so frustrating, but the end result is what matters. The coroplast was cut a bit too big so I had to zip tie some of the grids because the connectors didnt fit, but it all worked out in the end

Description: My cage is fleeced with puppy training pads underneath. I have this special area where I put hay down over a pad that they get to burrow into. I then use two sections of the grids and make a hay loft which is also filled with hay. All this is to emulate a bush in the wild. My two girls love it! Yes that's right only 2. I have asked for a couple more females so I can resue them from a nearby shelter. I rotate the hay every 3rd day. I roll up the pee pee pads and toss them and the hay that was on them away. Take the top hay move what they haven't eaten move it plus freash hay to the bottom and put all new feeding hay on top!...

Description: Everynight as soon as I get home my two little girls Twix and Snickers start whistling for me and we have a piggie picnic. As you can see tonight was a spring mix w/carrots. I always add something special like yougurt covered treat, apple slices, and carrots.

Description: The bottom level is for storage, second level for kitchen and playing. Roxy has staked out the third level as her bedroom, While Rosy stays in the 2nd floor house. We used 2 wire box kits from Bed Bath N' Beyond and used extra coroplast to make a tunnel of the ramp (which the GPs love).

Description: Leonidas, Kimi, and Tahiri in their cage after I removed the second level and changed up the hay rack and kitchen area. I put up a towel tent in the closest corner as well (not up so you could see the cage in the photo), and they used the hayrack/kitchen area for a hidey also. I used the stand I made from cubes underneath the cage for storage.This design is not in use anymore.
